Chiropractic Care

Dr. Kristine Baker is trained in a wide variety of Chiropractic Techniques, and our patients often comment that she is the most thorough Chiropractor they have ever been to.  She customize each patient's care, so whether you like Diversified/Manual Adjustments or gentle instrument based Adjustments (Activator or Equalizer), we can gently adjust your body!  Dr. Kristine is also trained in Logan Basic Technique as well.

We offer state-of-the-art Acupuncture Meridian Imaging with Acugraph.  Acugraph is a diagnostic tool that allows us to map the 12 main Acupuncture meridians to get a real-time comprehensive picture of your body's energy systems.  Using your Acugraph printout, combined with traditional Acupuncture points, we can give you the most accurate and effective Acupuncture treatment.  In many cases we will add acupuncture points classically known for your condition in addition to the treatment indicated on your Acugraph.  Over time, you will see your AcuGraph readings improve as your body's energy starts to balance.

Total Body Modification

Dr. Baker was personally helped by a Chiropractor that was trained in TBM and then immediately registered for the training herself.  She has currently completed Modules 1, 2, 3, and BE (Basic Exam), and has attended TBM's Research Symposium.  She has also met all of the requirements to be a TBM Instructor. Total Body Modification is a system of the best and most effective Chiropractic techniques that treat a wide variety of patients, especially patients that have not seen improvement from standard Chiropractic or natural care.  TBM has been known to help patients with food and environmental allergies, reactions to medications, blood sugar and blood pressure control, building the immune system to fight off colds and flus, and balance emotional states.  TBM has been a huge contribution to Dr. Baker and her patients, some of which say this technique has been a miracle for them!

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a technique that balances the CranioSacral Rhythm of the body, which usually results in improvement or resolution of a patient's symptoms and improvement of their emotional well-being.  Your body produces cerebrospinal fluid (the fluid around your brain and spinal cord) at a rate of 6 to 12 cycles per minute.  Dr. Baker is trained to detect abnormalities in this rhythm in various regions of the body, and then gently allow the body to return to a more balanced rhythm.  CranioSacral Therapy can be used to help people with problems in any part of the body, including the head, neck, back, jaw and internal organs.   This technique helps unwind chronic and acute soft tissue tightness patterns. Our patients say that their adjustments hold better and they feel even more relaxed than with just a Chiropractic Adjustment.

Lifeline Technique

Lifeline Technique is a combination of over 14 different healing modalities when combined together create an effective and powerful way to harmonize old subconscious thought patterns and perceived traumatic experiences.  During a session, a client creates a powerful intention, which they will be able to use to guide their subconscious mind from that point forward.  Our clients have used Lifeline Technique to help them move through physical and non physical stressful experiences that are either in their past or currently part of their life experience.  Our clients report feeling lighter, happier, and a powerful ability to move forward into what's next for them in life.  Each individual session is customized to the clients needs.  Most of our clients choose to do a five session series and then re-evaluate at that point.  Lifeline is not therapy, and is also very therapeutic.  It is a non-content technique, which means that patients will just name the topic of their stress, or keep it private by calling it a "mystery symptom", "mystery stressor" or "mystery emotion" and their mind and body will still move through the session as if they gave the practitioner details.  Our clients appreciate that they do not have to give us the "whole story" and "all the details of a situation" in order to create a profound shift in their mind and body.

Lifestyle Advice

With each patient, we incorporate advice and suggestions with regards to water intake, sleep recommendations, eating habits, protein intake, rest, and exercise.  In the vast majority of situations, making shifts in one or more of these areas drastically increase your improvement, and help stabilize and strengthen your body for the long run!

Nutritional Counseling

When indicated or important, we will suggest nutritional support or supplements as needed.  We are fairly conservative with our supplementation and do not usually suggest more than a few supplements at a time.  We have seen many patients come to our office with coolers and shopping bags full of supplements, and often finds that patients are taking too much.  Over supplementation can hinder a patients' progress, as the body has to process all of the supplements that a person ingests.  During your Initial Consultation and follow up visits, Dr. Baker will make suggestions based upon her extensive clinical experience.

Health Fairs and Lectures

We participate in a wide variety of Health Fairs and Vendor Days in Kansas City to help educate the public about Natural Health Care options including Chiropractic & Acupuncture.  At lectures and health fairs, we offers a Complimentary Acugraph scan to any participant.  Each participant also receives a copy of their scan to take home. If you have a community or company Health Fair or Lecture opportunity and would like Baker Chiropractic & Acupuncture to participate, please contact us.

We do have a cancellation list for New Patient Appointments so if an appointment opens up sooner, we will be happy to see you at an earlier time.
