Chiropractic Helps Patients in Kansas City with Back Pain

Have you ever had an aching back?  Do you wake up with a nagging back pain that used to go away after you were up and moving, but now its sticking around?  Have you recently been picking up heavy objects or helped a friend move?

If you are tired of having these pain symptoms or signals, then it's time to go see a Chiropractor

Why Chiropractic first?

Chiropractors are trained to examine your spine and determine whether gentle Chiropractic care may be the answer to your back pain.  There are many causes of back pain, which is why a thorough history and examination by a Doctor of Chiropractic is so important.  We are trained to recognize whether a problem you have is something Chiropractic care can help, or when necessary, refer you to an imaging center or other specialist if it is not a Chiropractic problem.

Time and time again, I have seen patients come to my office and after an exam and their first Chiropractic adjustment, have relief and feel better immediately.  It is one of the most fulfilling moments in my practice to see a patient leave feeling better with a smile on their face.

 Back pain costs $$$

It is estimated that back pain including lost work productivity costs 61.2 BILLION dollars in lost productivity.  That is a huge impact on our work force and on a families' ability to provide.  Chiropractic care is an inexpensive natural treatment to keep your back in good working order, so that you can enjoy your day to day activities. When I was a teenager and on staff in my parent's Chiropractic office, I was inspired to become a Chiropractor after seeing patient after patient leave the office feeling better.  Patients would be able to return to work faster after an injury, pick up and play with their grandchildren, enjoy their summer vacation, think clearly at work, or just de-stress if life was getting too hectic.

 How does Chiropractic work?

Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts that specializes in reducing interference and irritation in your nervous system.  By detecting and correcting spinal misalignments (aka subluxations) we remove the interference/irritation from the nervous system, thus allowing the nervous system to communicate to the body, and the body to communicate with the nervous system.  With proper communication, your body can function at it's maximum potential!  Some of the most common body signals of misalignment or subluxation are: pain, numbness, tingling, heaviness, ache, and sharp shooting pain

While pain pills and muscle relaxers can reduce pain and inflammation, they do not correct the source of the problem.  Getting your spine and joints realigned with Chiropractic adjustments reduce the pressure on the nervous system, and your body will not need to produce all of the pain and inflammatory signals it uses to get your attention.

Did you know that Chiropractic is a critical part of many athletes' training programs?  Just ask professional sports teams in the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball.  Many Olympic athletes have Chiropractors as well, and use the principle of maximum body performance to help edge their way to improved scores and higher speed!

Find out if Chiropractic is right for you by getting a thorough evaluation by a Chiropractor.  It may be just what you need to get rid of your back pain and get back to enjoying life!
