Kansas City Chiropractor Helps Woman With Severe Hip Pain

Having trouble getting out of bed in the morning?  Do you hobble to the bathroom?  Limping when you walk very far?  Afraid you are heading for a hip replacement?

This article is for you!

Last week I had a patient come to the office for a Chiropractic Adjustment for severe hip pain.  Her hips have been hurting for some time, and finally she was really starting to get worried.  Other family members have had to undergo major hip replacement surgery and she was afraid that she might be headed for that same fate.

She hadn't been adjusted in a couple of years and knew that I helped her a lot in the past.  Her pelvis was unlevel and twisted and her neck was really right. This patient had also reported some neck and dizziness issues as well, but the hip was hurting the most.

After giving her a full spine adjustment to balance her body, she stood up and could already tell that she had improved!

Within a few hours of her appointment, she sent me a message:

"Thanks Doc I feel 200% better than when I woke up this morning!"

Talk about some improvement!  This was a person who was seriously concerned about needing a hip replacement just a few hours ago.

She was 80% better after one treatment until she had to stress her body and finish some yard work over the weekend...but she was still 50% better a week after her first adjustment.  Did you just read that she was able to do a lot of yard work over the weekend?  That's right!

I am continually amazed at the healing power of the body.  Given her pain level I was impressed at her massive amount of improvement after her first Chiropractic Adjustment

So what did you do exactly?

As a Chiropractor I am trained to evaulate the body and look for misalignments of the spine and joints.  Chiropractors are trained to correct these misalignments with a variety of techniques.  I am trained in light force as well as manual or Diversified adjusting, and customize your adjustment to your body.  When I adjusted this patient, I also added in CranioSacral Therapy which also helps relax the muscles and unwind the tension in the soft tissue.  The powerful combination of Chiropractic and CranioSacral Therapy gives patients incredible results in a shorter period of time that using either approach by itself.

How would I know if Chiropractic and CranioSacral Therapy could help me?

It is important to seek out a thorough evaluation by a Chiropractor with a lot of experience with your particular issue, whether it be hip pain, headaches, or other issues.  During the consultation and exam, the Chiropractor will be able to determine whether Chiropractic can make a difference for you.

How many visits will it take for me to get better?

There is no one answer to this question.  It depends on several factors including hydration level, diet, stress level, exercise, previous trauma, and willingness to follow the home care instructions that our office will provide.  Generally most patients see dramatic improvement in 4 to 6 visits, but patients with a more complicated history may take longer to see significant improvement.
