Kansas City Chiropractor Sees Improvement in Bedwetting Symptoms with Chiropractic Adjustments

Bedwetting, also known as nocturnal enuresis, could be a sign that there is an interference in their nervous system. If the nervous system signal is compromised bedwetting can occur.
How can chiropractic care help with bedwetting?
With bedwetting, there may be an issue in the low back where the nerves exit the spinal column and go to the bladder. If the nerves are irritated, the signal from the brain to the bladder may not go through, resulting in bedwetting. Chiropractic Adjustments remove the interference in the nervous system. This allows the brain to communicate with the bladder better.
But my child doesn't have any back pain, so why do they need to see a chiropractor?
Pain is not always a symptom of a spinal misalignment. Sometimes a spinal misalignment shows itself in other ways. The nerves that come out of the spinal column go to all of the organs of the body as well as muscles. If there is a misalignment it can affect the organ function without any pain.
Can an adjustment hurt my child?
Chiropractic Adjustments on children are VERY gentle. Light pressure is used, so the discomfort felt (if any) is minor.
How fast can I expect results?
Results vary from child to child. First the root cause of the issue must be determined. It may be the result from a fall or accident, or it can have an emotional component that the child may need to work through. After examining your child, we will be able to develop a treatment plan and hopefully start seeing improvement within a few Chiropractic visits.
